The Department offers M.Sc in Microbiology and B.Sc Microbiology. Traditionally, Microbiologists worked mainly in laboratory research setting with the new appreciation of the role of microbes in human and environmental health, as well as their potential in biotechnology, microbiologists now work as integral members of inter disciplinary teams in hospital, clinics, universities, industry and government. They are on the cutting edge of science.
