Central Instrumentation Lab
Geology lab and museum provides hands on survey of the fundamentals of Physical Geology. Identification and interpretation of rocks and minerals, use of topographic maps, air photos, and satellite images to analyze and understand dynamic systems are usually carried out in labs.
Geo Informatics Lab is equipped with 20 highly configured computers with internet facilities for doing Geoinformatics and Remote sensing practical.
Petrology Lab has 6 Binocular high end polarising research microscopes. 1 Trinocular microscope with micro photographic facilities by which the section of the rocks, minerals and ores can be displayed in a LCD screen.
Micro palaeontology and sedimentology lab contains 5 Binocular stereo zoom microscopes for studying the micro fossils. Sophisticated instruments for sediment analysis such as sieve shaker, section grinding and making machines.
For chemical analysis of the rocks, minerals and ore samples and Water quality analysis. Resistivity meter for geophysical prospecting for locating the well site both for open and bore wells.
